Bei meiner letzten Urlaubsreise nach Italien verschlug es mich nach Cremona, die Stadt, in der einst der berühmte Geigenbauer Stradivari wirkte. Die Innenstadt ist geprägt von wunderschönen Bauten, die schon seit dem Mittelalter stehen und durch ihre Imposanz beeindrucken. Das Flair ist unverkennbar italienisch. Da mein Besuch in den Hochsommer fiel, waren die Stechmücken am Fluss Po eine wahre Plage. Trotzdem würde ich die Stadt weiterempfehlen, denn sie bietet eine Fülle an Museen und Kirchen, die es zu besichtigen gilt. Und was gibt es Schöneres, als den Tag mit einem Eisbecher auf einer Piazza ausklingen zu lassen?

On my last vacation trip to Italy, I ended up in Cremona, the city where the famous violin maker Stradivari once worked. The city center is characterized by beautiful buildings that have been standing since the Middle Ages and impress with their grandeur. The flair is unmistakably Italian. As my visit took place at the height of summer, the mosquitoes along the River Po were a real nuisance. Nevertheless, I would recommend the city as it offers a wealth of museums and churches to visit. And what better way to end the day than with an ice cream sundae in a piazza?
