Auf meiner letzten Reise nach Frankreich entschied ich mich für einen Zwischenstopp in dem glamourösen Fürstentum Monaco. Ich fand mich auf dem berühmten Platz von Monte Carlo wieder, wo ich das prachtvolle Casino nur von außen bestaunte, da es das Innere vorbehalten bleibt, die Geheimnisse des Glücksspiels zu entdecken. Während ich dort stand, konnte ich nicht umhin, die atemberaubende Aussicht auf den Hafen zu genießen, der mit einer beeindruckenden Flotte von Luxusyachten geschmückt war, die zweifellos den Reichtum ihrer Besitzer zur Schau stellten.

Die Straßen Monacos waren gesäumt von einer Parade hochpreisiger Autos, die wie Juwelen in der Sonne glänzten – ein Anblick, der sowohl Bewunderung als auch ein Gefühl der Faszination hervorrief. Trotz der Schönheit und des offensichtlichen Reichtums, der mich umgab, empfand ich Monaco als etwas zu beengt. Die Enge der Stadt und die ständige Präsenz von Menschen und Maschinen ließen wenig Raum für die Stille, die ich so sehr schätze.

Obwohl ich die pulsierende Energie und das Flair von Monaco erleben wollte, zog es mich doch zu den ruhigeren und friedlicheren Orten, die mir persönlich mehr zusagen. Monaco war eine Erfahrung, die ich nicht missen möchte, aber für zukünftige Reisen werde ich Orte suchen, die eine entspanntere Atmosphäre bieten und wo ich die Ruhe der Natur genießen kann.

On my last trip to France, I decided to make a stopover in the glamorous principality of Monaco. I found myself in the famous square of Monte Carlo, where I only marveled at the magnificent casino from the outside, as the inside is reserved for discovering the secrets of gambling. As I stood there, I couldn’t help but take in the breathtaking view of the harbor, which was adorned with an impressive fleet of luxury yachts, no doubt flaunting the wealth of their owners.

The streets of Monaco were lined with a parade of high-priced cars, gleaming like jewels in the sun – a sight that evoked both admiration and a sense of fascination. Despite the beauty and obvious wealth that surrounded me, I found Monaco a little too cramped. The narrowness of the city and the constant presence of people and machines left little room for the stillness that I value so much.

Although I wanted to experience the vibrant energy and flair of Monaco, I was drawn to the quieter and more peaceful places that I personally find more appealing. Monaco was an experience I wouldn’t want to miss, but for future trips I will look for places that offer a more relaxed atmosphere and where I can enjoy the tranquillity of nature.
