Die Stadt thront auf einem Felsen und es scheint fast so, als könnte sie jeden Moment ins Meer stürzen. Beim Schlendern durch die Altstadt konnte ich den herrlichen Ausblick genießen, sei es auf den Hafen oder das offene Meer. Das Wetter war so klar, dass ich sogar die Küste Sardiniens erblicken konnte. Die weißen Sandstrände mit ihrem kristallklaren Wasser waren einfach traumhaft. Und das Essen? Absolut empfehlenswert und köstlich. Besonders erwähnenswert sind auch die 187 Stufen, die hinab zum Meer führen – eine beeindruckende, wenn auch anstrengende Angelegenheit. Zudem ist ein Besuch der Festung von Bonifacio sehr zu empfehlen, was ich bei meinem Aufenthalt auch tat.
On my last trip to Corsica, I also visited Bonifacio and was immediately impressed by the sight. The town is perched on a rock and it almost seems as if it could fall into the sea at any moment. As I strolled through the old town, I was able to enjoy the magnificent view, be it of the harbor or the open sea. The weather was so clear that I could even see the coast of Sardinia. The white sandy beaches with their crystal-clear water were simply gorgeous. And the food? Highly recommended and delicious. Also worth mentioning are the 187 steps that lead down to the sea – an impressive, albeit strenuous, affair. A visit to the fortress of Bonifacio is also highly recommended, which I did during my stay.
